JACQUELINE AND FRIENDS AT STARBUCKS
We wandered over to
Starbucks the other day, Jacqueline and myself. She wore some new patterened
stockings, and a pair of my favorite shoes. I shot these pictures with the
idea of adding--well, friends: figures from Poser, a program I have been
playing with that creates 3-dimensional human figures. The idea of combining
"real" with "unreal" has always appealed to me. In truth,
in any work of art, any photo, any novel, any painting--the boundary between
real and unreal becomes quite murky. Nothing, I often say, is real, nothing
is unreal. There is no truth, there are no untruths. All art is lies: all
art is verity. Nothing is real...everything is real....
What is real here?
